Adult females typically have a body length ranging from 5 to 6 inches (approximately 12.5 to 15 cm) or more, while adult males are slightly smaller, measuring about 4 to 5 inches (approximately 10 to 12.5 cm) in body length. The leg span of both males and females can reach up to 5 to 6 inches (approximately 17.5 to 20 cm) or more. Like other Brachypelma species, Brachypelma hamorii has a robust and stocky build, making it a striking and impressive tarantula.
Brachypelma hamorii is native to Mexico and is primarily found in the western regions of the country. Its natural habitat includes a variety of terrestrial environments, such as dry forests, scrublands, and grasslands. They are often found in areas with loose soil or sandy substrate, which allows them to burrow and create retreats for shelter.
